April 2014

Between Power outages and ice storms it is time for Spring.  Stampin' Up! Simply Pressed Clay is what this bunny is made of - though he/she is as light as a marshmallow bunny.  It is simply clay,  S.U. markers, colored Pearl Basics, and  Whisper White Bakers Twine with a little dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
NOW IT IS TIME TO SET THE TABLE FOR EASTER

Table setting starts with a sunny plate decorated on the backside with Stampin' Up! paper

Then add a napkin Edged with Baked Brown Sugar Ruffle Stretch Trim and Burlap Ribbon

Make a napkin Ring out of a cardboard tube covered in Burlap Ribbon and bunny ears cut from the ribbon with Whisper White Bakers Twine colored with S.U. markers for fluff.

Flower centerpiece is all fringed out using Stampin' Up! Fringe Scissors ( I just love these) and with In Color Dahlias and Very Vintage Designer Buttons, the buttons are colored and Chrystal effects with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter are added to the centers

Fringed DSP makes this flower on  the Watercolor Wonder Designer Notecard with Strawberry Slush In Color Boutique Buttons and  Ruffle Stretch Trim very cheerful.

March 2014

I know many of you have wondered why I was so late in posting after February this year,  My Little dog Millie became ill and I spent as much time as possible making her last days pleasant.  This little journal
( Stampin' Up! Retro Fresh This and That Journal) I have started in her memory, The whole family misses her so much and I hope this will help us enjoy the time we had with her.

I changed up the cover a little and you may recognize the embellishments from the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit.

The Retro Fresh Kit comes with embellishments like the ones used here.

February 2014

The Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog has unique kits that are a lot of relaxing fun.  The Happenings Simply Created Card Kit is what this card is made from , but I added Bermuda Bay Cardstock and used the Just Sayin Stamp set. The set has enough to make 15 cards.

January 2014

Oh! Baby, a new stamp set "Baby, We've Grown"  from the 2014 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  I needed a card in a hurry for a baby shower that was moved earlier due to the mom-to-be having twins.  I saw something similar on Pinterest and remade it using Stampin' Up! products.

Year (2013) in Review -December con't.

Oh! the snow is coming down again,  This time I am making a snowman/woman box topper.  I have fallen in love with the Simply Pressed Clay, it is so easy to work with and light weight.  To answer questions about how it is made - it is just a ball of Simply Pressed Clay with black permanent marked Pearl Basics pressed into it and clay nose with applied Multipurpose Liquid glue and Orange Glitter glued to the ball. My pinky finger dabbed with blushing bride ink for the cheeks.  The hat is Cherry Cobbler cardstock stressed after being sprayed with Smooch Spritz, layered and run through an embossing folder.

This is my version of the popular tea light snowmen.  The hat has many layers of Stampin' Up! papers embedded through embossing.

Year (2013) in Review -December

The snow came very early this year and it was so pretty.  That got the creative juices flowing.  What should I decorate the mantle with year?  The Stampin' Up! holiday catalog has beautiful kits for making banners and love the colors, but I was looking for something to make a little house out of when I started playing with the Mini Milk Carton Bigz L die.  Lo and behold did a miniature house began to appear.  I used the Silver Foil paper embossed for the roof and White Vellum paper for the windows,  Pistachio Pudding Ruffle Stretch Trim for the tree with Candy Dots, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine for Decoration, Very Vintage Designer Buttons with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details for the door wreath, Simply Pressed clay for the snow /snowman with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Delicate Details Lace tape for window and trim. and Core-dinations paper.

Year (2013) in Review -November, Con't

Candle Decorated with items from Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog which has lots of goodies to make your holidays bright.

Year (2013) in Review -November

Time for Holiday Shopping - This is the year of the beautiful boxes.  The black and white paper ribbon box was inspired by Stampin' Up! Shelli Gardner convention demo.  Using Modern Medley DSP, Large Rhinestones on top of Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and Bow Die cut.

Country Snowflake box made using the New Gingham Roller Stamp

My Favorite Gift box this year is the Burlap Shabby chic.  I used a lot of ribbon - Stampin' Up! Burlap, Cotton Ribbon, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Crochet Trim ribbons, Silver Glimmer paper, paper doilies, Very vanilla card stock and of course gift boxes.
